Start with the approved takeoff
Record the job name, selected shingle manufacturer, product line, color and quantity. Confirm whether the takeoff already includes waste. Keep the original measurements and the requested package counts together so a change to one product can be checked before ordering.
Review the accessory lines
Check whether the project calls for underlayment, a leak barrier, starter strips, hip-and-ridge shingles, ventilation, flashing, pipe boots, fasteners or replacement decking. Include only the items specified for the job. GAF’s roof-component overview and Owens Corning’s roofing components explain how the material categories differ.
Give each line a buying unit
Write the product name or SKU, quantity and selling unit for each item. Distinguish bundles from individual pieces, rolls from squares, and linear-foot coverage from square-foot coverage. Add the required size or color for accessories. A clearly labeled request helps the warehouse resolve a question without guessing which material you intended.
Plan the handoff
For pickup, provide the preferred day and confirm the order with the Sugar Hill warehouse. For delivery, include the complete job address, requested date and site-access information. Review our delivery details and confirm timing and charges with the team. Use the material quote builder to organize your list before requesting availability and pricing.
