The VELUX Fixed Skylight (FS) – Deck Mounted S06 (44-1/4 in. x 45-1/4 in.) with the “Go Solar” package comes equipped with a factory-installed solar-powered room-darkening blind and an internet gateway, giving you convenient smartphone control and access to automated programs that help improve energy efficiency. The solar blind collects sunlight to power itself, allowing you to manage incoming daylight without wiring or electrical work.

Installing this skylight is one of the most effective ways to brighten and enhance a room. Natural sunlight brings warmth and beauty to your interior while reducing dependence on artificial lighting—all while maintaining privacy. The room-darkening blind features a double-pleated honeycomb design with an aluminum-coated interior to block even strong sunlight, making it ideal for bedrooms, media rooms, and any space where light control matters.

• Eligible for the VELUX 10-year installation warranty when installed with the appropriate flashing:

  • EDL S06 for shingle, shake, or slate roofs (14°–85° pitch)

  • EDW S06 for tile roofs

  • EDM S06 for metal roofs
    (Flashing kits sold separately.)

• Equipped with Clean, Quiet & Safe LowE3 laminated glass, featuring a Neat® glass coating that helps keep the glass cleaner and reduces outside noise. Includes a 10-year hail warranty against laminated glass breakage.

• Double-paned, argon-filled LowE3 glass provides excellent year-round energy efficiency and the enhanced safety of laminated glass—required by building codes for overhead installations or hard-to-reach locations.

• Includes an internet gateway plus a basic remote control for blind operation.
